A historical piece made by known Native American Hopi artist McBride Lomayestewa available for sale. This piece can either be strung on a chain, to be worn as a pendant, or can be worn as a pin. This particular piece is a great example of overlay work, and the hand stamping can be seen in the purposefully darkened areas of the piece.
McBride Lomayestewa was a Hopi artist active from the 1950's until his death in 2002. McBride was born in 1932 and during his lifetime he won numerous awards starting in the 1970s. He was a member of the Snow clan.
The pendant is just over 1.25 inches in diameter. It weighs approximately 10 grams.
