Running Bear Shop Southwest Sterling Silver Bear Overlay Turquoise and Red Coral Earrings
Few symbols are as iconic in the American Southwest as the Bear. These Sterling Silver, Turquoise, and Red Coral dangling earrings showcase a terrific example of an overlaid Southwest Bear. The Bear even includes typical Hopi wave patterns.
The earnings have studs behind the setting that holds the small Red Coral and Turquoise cabochons. They are approximately a 1/4 inch in diameter. There is a little star like piece of silver working below the stones. The Bear overlay piece is approximately 1 inch wide and slightly under 3/4s of an inch tall.
The earrings in total weight approximately 7 grams, as a pair, and are slightly over 11/4 inch in length.
The pieces are stamped with a Bear pictograph and "925". These are the marks of the "Running Bear Shop", a historical Native American jewelry dealer located in New Mexico. Items with the shop hallmark were made for the store and the exact artisan is unknown.
Price includes sales tax, shipping, and handling.
