Sterling Silver Native American Gaspeite Ring with "B" Hallmark
A rare ring that makes a statement with every gesture of the hand. Native American turquoise rings are quite plentiful. However, how many Native American rings have you seen that contain a Gaspeite stone?
This ring is stamped with a capital "B" and "Sterling". It is aproximately a size 6 3/4.
Gaspéite is the nickel rich member of the calcite group. It is a very rare nickel carbonate mineral, with the formula (Ni,Fe,Mg)CO3. It is named for the place it was first described, in the Gaspé Peninsula, Québec, Canada.
The Gaspeite stone is barely less than an inch long by about a 1/2 inch wide. The setting is over 1/2 inch wide and approximately 1 and 1/2 inch long. The ring weighs in at 9 grams.
The artist who made this ring also made a triple stacked turquoise ring that is also available.
Ring is sold as is with taxes included. Shipping is $5.
