Carol Felley is known for her Southwest and animal jewelry. This is an example of one of her Southwest pieces. It features a string of similar "Navajo Women" . This piece is a great example of Carol Felley's work.
The bracelet weighs in at approximately 24 grams and is just over 7 3/4 inches tip to tip. The "Navajo Women" are approximately 2/3rds of an inch tall and approximately 1/4 of an inch at the widest. Each women is carrying a piece of what appears to be Spiny Oyster inlay. We believe it is supposed to represent the traditional Navajo bread or perhaps a textile.
A number of the "Navajo Women" have stamping on the backs. There is Carol Felley's hallmark and "Sterling". It also has the last two years of the year the piece was made.
