Mother of Pearl Sterling Silver Southwest Style Cuff Bracelet
This elegant Mother of Pearl and Sterling Silver Southwest style cuff bracelet features some traditional Native American features. These include a leaf and a shadowbox effect with the leaf. Shadow boxes are hollow spaces with a darkened interior. Though not stamped we have tested the metal and it tested well for silver. There may be a signature on the barcelet, it looks like a "M" or a "W" with little horns added to the inverted part of the letter, but we were not able to identify the maker. Based on the design work and materials, it is likely a late 20th century piece made in the American Southwest.
The bracelet weighs 12 grams. At its tallest the bracelet setting just over an inch and just just under 3/4 of an inch at it's widest. The bracelet stands just over 2 inches tall and is slightly over 2 1/2 inches wide. The opening is approximately 1 and 7/10ths of an inch. The larger Mother of Pearl cabochon is about 1/2 inch tall and slightly over 1/4 of an inch at its widest. The smaller Mother of Pearl cabochon is about 2/5ths inch tall and slightly over 1/4 of an inch at its widest. The smaller cabochon has a slightly "peachier" color than the larger one.
