This handmade 108 natural stone Mala is handmade in Hawaii with Lava Stone for the strand. It is a single stone Mala. The Mala is finished with a Lapis Lazuli Guru Bead and a Handmade Cotton Tassel.
Lava Stone is thought to be a grounding stone that strengthens one's connection to Mother Earth. It is believed to give strength and courage, allowing us stability through times of change. Lava Stone can be used as a natural diffuser due to the numerous little nooks and crannies on its surface. If you wanted to do this we would recommend only oiling the beads on the neck to avoid cloth staining.
The Guru Bead is Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli is thought to encourage self-awareness, allows self-expression, and reveals inner truth. The stone provides qualities of honesty, compassion, and morality to the personality. Believed to stimulate objectivity, clarity and encourage creativity.
This Mala is approximately 22 inches in length from Tassel to the stones at the back of the strand. The strand beads are approximately 8mm, though a tad larger hence the longer length of this Mala. All of our Malas are hand knotted between each stone. Knotting between each bead makes it easier to pass through your fingers and reduces hair snagging.
